Micca OriGain Compact Integrated Amplifier

Compact stereo amplifiers are the best choice for powering speakers in the home or office, taking up little space while producing exceptional power output and audio clarity. Despite being less than 1/40th of the size of a standard stereo receiver by volume, the OriGain A250 pushes 50 watts out to each of its two channels. All controls and indicators are conveniently placed on the front panel and easy to see at a glance.

For a compact stereo amplifier with an abundance of connectivity options, look no further than the OriGain. It’s small enough to fit into anywhere around a home or office, and built to the same high performance and quality standard that is associated with all Micca products. Use the OriGain as part of a new compact stereo build, or as replacement for a large and obsolete older amplifier. Discover how powerful and convenient a compact amplifier can be by trying the OriGain in your home or office.

The OriGain is available in two models: A250 and AD250.

Both models offer 50W x 2 integrated amplifier functionality, with analog stereo input.

Additionally the AD250 supports USB and Optical digital audio input from a computer or TV.

Efficient, Powerful, Dynamic, Clean The OriGain A250 and AD250 both utilizes clean and efficient Class-D amplifier technology to deliver 50W x 2 power output into 4Ω speakers with less than 0.5% total harmonic distortion. Power into 8Ω speakers is 30W x 2. Careful design and board layout effectively suppresses background noise to imperceptible levels even at maximum volume. Along with a frequency response that is audibly flat, the OriGain’s audio signature is transparent and accurate.

Use the OriGain with speakers of any size, from small cubes to full size floor standing speakers. Slim profile 5-way binding posts can support speaker wire with banana plugs, pins, spades, or bare wire. The built-in volume controlled pre-out jack can be used to easily add a self-powered subwoofer.

Class Leading Design The OriGain uses the exceptionally well performing Texas Instrument TPA3116D2 amplifier chip. Owing to its excellent power output efficiency and flat frequency response, the TPA3116D2 is well established as the best-in-class stereo amplifier chip. Additionally, the OriGain AD250 uses the C-MEDIA CM6510B USB interface and the well regarded Wolfson WM8740 DAC for digital-to-analog conversion.

In a case of form following function, the OriGain’s all metal construction is durable and provides superior heat dissipation, yet the smooth matte black aluminum finish imparts a uniquely modern and sophisticated appearance.

Small But Mighty Use the OriGain as part of a new compact stereo build, or as replacement for a large and obsolete older amplifier. Discover how powerful and convenient a compact amplifier can be by trying the OriGain in your home or office.

Windows 10 (1803) Audio Device Settings

The new Windows 10 1803 release changed the way that audio device settings are accessed. If you right click on the speaker icon on the lower right hand corner of the screen and click on “Open Sound Settings”, this brings you to the new Windows 10 style settings menu rather than the older “Control Panel” style settings page. Unfortunately, this page seems to currently have some issues as users report that settings made on this page are not being stored correctly and revert back to the old values. Instead, follow the steps below to access the original “Control Panel” style settings:

  1. Click on the Windows icon on the lower left hand corner of the screen and type “Sound”, then click on the “Sound” icon from the search results.
  2. The menu that pops up is the “Control Panel” style sound settings, and settings made here will be saved without any issues
